Wednesday, September 7, 2011 - Leprechaun Lake to Nada Lake

Morning dawns over Leprechaun Lake:

Our omnipresent goats:

Yes, you guessed it:

Rustic, but scenic:

Did I mention that some of the "trail" is a bit tricky?

And possibly wet if your balance isn't perfect:

And tricky:

Lake Viviane:

A tricky crossing:

Hmmm... Where's that next cairn?

The trail got a bit brushier.  We had left the upper Enchantments and started heading down through less alpine areas and more typical Northwest lakes and hiking.  Mike, having work responsibilities, headed out to his car and Ken and I decided to spend the night at Nada Lake.

Upper Snow Lake:

Nada Lake:

Exploring along the lakeside:

Unusual mushrooms:

Boletus edulis (aka porcini)?

A strange totem in our campsite:

Dinner!
